FSA 212 - Introduction to Inclusive Education Through this introductory course, candidates examine their own philosophy of inclusive education. Special education law and trends are considered and critiqued, and current best practices for inclusive education are introduced. Content is provided regarding the range of students who receive special education support, including culturally and linguistically diverse students. Strategies to work effectively with students with disabilities are also considered, as well as techniques for forming partnerships with other professionals and parents in order to advocate for students. Includes a 25-hour field experience. Prerequisite: FSA 103, which may be taken concurrently with FSA 212. (3 cr. hr.)
