SCI 180 - Natural Hazards and Disasters

Study of the interaction between society and natural hazards such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and volcanoes. Consideration of both the physical operation and impacts of these phenomena, and how humans evaluate and respond to these threats to their lives and property. Emphasis on current events and recent natural disasters. Fulfills: GE 12. (3 cr. hr.)
