LIT 375 - Second Language Literacy Second Language Literacy is designed to introduce teacher candidates to the theoretical foundations and practical applications of instruction for emergent English Language Learners (ELLs) from a second language literacy perspective. Throughout the course, instruction will focus on the primary areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening in addition to cultural implications of teaching students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with varying levels of language proficiency. Prerequisite: LIT 371. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
