HIS 344 - Medieval Europe: 300-1050 Critical examination of the shift from the late Ancient world to the Middle Ages. Main focus on scholarly debates on the social structure and political transformation of the Roman Empire, Christian Church, monasticism, Byzantine Empire, nascent medieval kingdoms of the West to the 11th century.
