HIS 333 - Russia, 850-1894 Critical examination of Russian history from the earliest times to the late imperial era. Special attention paid to historiographical debates relating to the origins of Russia, the legacy of the Mongol period, the rise of Muscovy, westernization and reform, the emergence of a revolutionary movement, and social and moral protest in Russian literature. Prerequisite: HIS 100, 101, 110 or 111. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
