SOC 401 - Sociology of Sex and Gender Theoretical, empirical examination of male and female experiences of inequality in social institutions; changing sex roles; gender socialization, and the interaction of biology and culture. A comparative perspective is used, and theoretical differences between sex and gender are investigated sociologically. Prerequisite: SOC 100, 150 or ANT 102. Fulfills: LASR. Notes: Category B.
