ASL 101 - Beginning American Sign Language I

(B) Introduction to the study of American Sign Language (ASL), including grammar and syntax, basic vocabulary and appropriate protocol when using the language. Emphasis on developing communication strategies in ASL and on the configuration and culture of the deaf community. Fulfills: GE 9. (3 cr. hr.)
