PHY 522 - Engineering Mechanics(S) Study of statics of rigid bodies with applications to structural and load analysis. Topics include: equilibrium of extended bodies, centroids, friction and the analysis of trusses, frames, beams, towers and cables with a focus on engineering applications to renewable energy systems. Not open to students with credit for PHY 422. Prerequisite: PHY 201 and MAT 122 or MAT 237. (3 cr. hr.)
