PED 526 - Physical Activity and Fitness Programming for Schools(A) Designed for students who desire to expand their knowledge base on how to create and implement developmentally appropriate fitness-oriented curricula for school-aged children. Topics include developmental physiology, children's responses to exercise, maturational changes, changes in health-related fitness throughout childhood, introduction to fitness programs for children, nutrition, activity planning, fitness assessment and behavior modification. (3 cr. hr.)
