CRM 464 - Corrections

(B) Historical approach to correctional ideas and institutions in the United States and Europe. Focus is on the development of institutions and ideas for “correcting” dependent poverty, criminality, delinquency and mental illness. Examination of the changing relationship between correctional institutions and other economic and social institutions. Prerequisite: ANT 102 or SOC 100 or 150. Also listed as SOC 464.
