PHI 375 - Science, Truth and Bias

(O) Examines accounts of scientific methods and the influence of social values or human interests on scientific reasoning. Contemporary challenges to the idea of objectivity will be looked at to understand knowledge claims in the natural and social sciences. Prerequisite: Three hours of philosophy or consent of instructor. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
