Public Administration and Public Policy (B.S.) [PADP]

Students majoring in public administration and public policy are expected to complete a core curriculum covering the basics of U.S. and world politics, research techniques and political theory. In addition, students are expected to explore the relationship between politics and public administration through upper division course work. Finally, all students must complete a capstone course either through a seminar or internship experience, plus cognate course work in another department.

E. Cognate Requirements: a minimum of 9 credit hours


Students may choose from any group, 1-7, for a minimum of nine credit hours, but the group of courses chosen may not overlap with course work taken by the students to complete their General Education (GE) requirements. Alternately, students may choose two courses from one group and a third course from a group in which they have already taken a course to fulfill GE.
