Graphic Design and Digital Media [GDM]

The Art and Art History Department  offers the major in Graphic Design and Digital Media which provides in-depth exposure to the changing area of digital media while maintaining a critical core of studio foundations and art history. Majors have the opportunity to develop digital skills in graphic design, typography, print processes, animation, interactive design, video, photography, audio and multimedia. A. All College Requirements: 41 total credit hours


B. Electives: 21 credit hours


Choose 21 credit hours from 300 level or higher courses in ATS, ATH or general electives.

C. Core in Art Studio: 12 credit hours


 Foundation courses required as follows:

D. Exposure and Skills Core in Art Studio: 6 credit hours


 Choose six credit hours from the following:

E. Graphic Design and Digital Media Specialization Courses: 18 credit hours


F. Graphic Design and Digital Media Electives: 15 credit hours
