HLH 461 - Health Care Finance

(O) An analysis of health-care financing in the U.S. The course investigates payment mechanisms, cost containment efforts, and the trends in third-party payments over time. The course will explore such concepts as risk sharing, cost-shifting, capitation, capital investments, strategic financial planning in a changing health care environment. Prerequisites: HLH 360 and ECO 111 or MGT 254, 255. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
