SPM 355 - Sport Tourism and Mega-Events

(O) Study of participatory sport tourism and mega-event-based tourism from local to international levels. Examines relationship between the industries of sports and tourism, including economic impact, marketing, financial aspects of mega-events, motives for people to travel and host large sporting events that lead to an industry focused on sports attractions, events and experiences for tourists. (3 cr. hr.)
